I can't remember, did you say head phones wouldn't work on your computer?

No clue. It probably would if I knew what I was doing and was willing to work on it, but when I spend money on entertainment it's usually books, not headphones/software. I don't miss it too often, Light. The sort of "rain on rooftops" sound of the keyboard is about all the sound it really needs, to my mind.

I do like how computer keyboards sound so much softer than typewriter keyboards. It's much more pleasant to listen to, long-term.

I could send you some crappy earbuds if you wanted to try them? I don't use ear buds because they hurt my ears.

Have you used a keyboard where the keys are almost flat? I like those a lot better. The tapping is very soothing. lol.

Yes! My sister used to go to the university surplus sales up in Seattle a fair bit, and she found a bunch of tech-stuff that we've all been using ever since. My keyboard is from that, and it's the flat kind. I love it.

I haven't typed on an actual typewriter in forever. It's a special kind of satisfying. lol.

What other tech stuff you get a hold of?

Well, she got several computer mice, and lots of cords, and a lamp ...I know a lamp doesn't sound tech-y, but this thing looks seriously crazy, like it's from a spaceship or something. I'll do a search to see if I can find a picture of one like it. I mean, it's not just one of the lamps with the lightbulbs and it plugs in instead of being an oil lamp. It's definitely a High Tech Lamp. Anyhow! What else? Ummm, she found one of those funny instant-hot-water-pitchers where you pour water into a special kind of pitcher, and then you put it on a special stand that plugs in, kind of like those funny phones that don't have the cord on the phone itself? Anyhow, like that, and then it sort clicks into place or maybe she does something to make it click, I don't know, I just know it clicks, and then REALLY SOON the water in the pitcher boils! It's like an almost-instant teakettle. She has that up at her place and I always make myself tea with it as soon as I visit because it is awesome!
What else?
I don't know, I'm just picturing the Tech-Age-Teakettle now. (although it really does look more like a plastic juice pitcher than a teakettle)

Wait, do you use oil lamps at your house?

It looks cool. Is it one of those kinds that it turns on just by touching it? Like you touch the metal and it turns on instead of having to turn a knob/click a button/ turn a switch?

Mannn. I've seen those kinds of pitchers and I would love to have one. I would drink a lot more tea. Is it one that keeps the water hot too? That's the kind that I want.

Maybe that? Except that one is fancier, too, that one has a little gauge thing it looks like? Not sure if that shows temperature or how full it is, but either way.

my sister's looks like a water or juice pitcher. There are no markings on the side, there is no gauge or window or slide. There is no temperature control. You fill it up however full you estimate you need, you set it onto the thing, there's a click, and it's on or it's off and that's all you can do.....

but it's still awesome.
