We'd mostly like to have some savings to be able to depend and fall back on esp in the first few months c:

we did our research haha we really want to be prepared for all the costs and have a lil pot to cover any unexpected costs if they do pop up :P

Right now she needs to get a job, and then I think its best she works towards her own car first.

I had great savings too.
But then this happened and that happened.
And now I have to stock up my savings again.^^

You never have enough savings haha c':

just today I read that its good to have about 3 months worth of salary in your savings, even better if you have 6 months worth.

I currently have over that, and I'm still in a 'got to save up for the future' craze cause once those regular payments and bills hit that money will start to dwindle fast

80% of our furniture is from there.^^

I'm going to spend a ton just on shelving for all my Transformers and Harry Potter stuff :x

Hahaha, same here about ikea :D I've always been an ikea person, my bf not so much, he says he doesn't like a lot of their stuff but we still ended up buying most of the things that we needed there :D

Its actually been ages since I've gone to an ikea, but I love strolling through the store. Always find something I like c':

there's one convention I go to every year that has an ikea right across from it so I stroll over for the cheap food xD

I've actually been there recently to get another bookshelf and a chest of drawers for my crafting supplies :)
I love just strolling through there as well and there's always at least some small items that seem really useful that I pick up as well. This time it was a thing to mount on the wall in the kitchen to hang some stuff from (Kungsfors), a cushion for the couch with a cute panda on it and a large stuffed panda... And some organizing stuff for inside drawers and probably a bunch of other stuff that I've already forgotten about :D
