Oh wow, I'm not that organized. //does all the shading for that color in the single color block layer. And then I merge everything and fix up the finer shades and lights in one layer

Not sure if I should be proud or ashamed, but mine usually look something like:
Layer of background white
Layer with most of the lines
Layer with extra lines and probably the facial lines
15 - 25 layers for the skin
4 - 10 layers for each other color area
5ish layers for eyes
1 - 3 layers for lips
A few layers for minor details
At least a couple of final touch up layers
A layer or two for a simple background, repeat all the above craziness if it isn't simple
Most of it ends up in folders, and some eventually get merged, because otherwise I would never be able to find anything.
Last picture I did had 87 layers. The one before that was 57. Some of the layers ended up getting merged before the end though, that's just the count of how many were created in total through the whole process. Usually I don't merge much until the end though, I don't want stuff I want to edit stuck to other stuff I don't want to edit.

That's pretty amazing actually.... I'm too impatient for too many layers. Will go crazy trying to keep track XD I think normally my pictures never go over 20 layers at the most........

My average knuffel has... at least 25 layers.

Ahhhh Knuffels does take a lot more layers. Cuz you have to keep components seperate for evolution needs @.@ I have to name like every layer to not get confused QAQ //first world problems :/bricked

Only time I curse with knuffel is when I want components that technically appear behind the knuffel's main body xDD So I have to set them at the bottom instead of in the folders for the different stages, and it takes way more clicks to turn everything on and off.
