Tam I am wrote:Yes, I confess I have one too. She looks just like my Starpounder character, so I had to get her. But the poor thing's faded from blue to grey, and she's so floppy now that she can't even sit up. So she's in her box in the trunk. The big and little Obitsus are still out, though.

If you want a doll with lots of joints, I suggest an Obitsu. They can stand on one leg all day, if you have the stand for them. XD

Sounds like she just needs restringing (regarding the floppiness). but yeah. Obitsu joints stay nice and tight for ages, too. I have an older 27cm slim male, and it takes a bit of finagling to get his limbs to move.

I feel so terrible being exposed so much to BJDs and still knowing next to nothing about them. Like...I know about stringing, and customization (kinda) but nothing about brands or how to find quality stuff.

I just like Bobobbie/Resinsoul. Cheap Chinese company, but all kindsa neat colours and molds! My doll is a blue Bobobbie/Resinsoul Lu. I love her teeth. They look like mine.

I have a purple Bobobie Elfkin. I've got my eye on a Bobobie Feng head and the bigger girl body, so I can make a resin me. Though, considering I'm working on a fabric doll to be Nijika for me, I may just use my big 60cm Obitsu (a vinyl doll) and do her head and stuff to look like an anime version of me.

I know about how to restring, and how to reposition eyes so the face doesn't look soulless... and I know what stuff NOT to use on resin or vinyl. I'm more familiar with working with vinyl dolls though. That's what got me started in the hobby in the first place.

Anime version of you would be cute. LOL And you've SEEN what a lot of my non-TFs are made of.

Garbage.

I just have to decide if I wanna try and paint the majority of the faceup, or do an open eyehole head... but with my eye color, it's kinda tricky finding eyes...

*sits and listens*

mine i just got is put together more like a mh doll but screws at the knees and elbow joints. and her head is about the size of an older barbie head. with painted features not removable eyes.

oh, i guess you could say she's more like a figurarts figure rather than a bjd. but she's 11.5 inches rather than the normal 6in figurarts.

I'm not sure how I'd translate to anime. LOL I look like an intelligent cave man. And that's not putting myself down. I am what I am.

Den. Painted eyes!

Sephy. Have you shown me that doll?

Oh, and does anybody know what shop's got the curvy armwarmers?

I'm not sure what you mean by curvy armwarmers, I tried looking in DAC to see if i could find out what you meant, but nothing in there that popped up under the armwarmer tag screamed curvy to me.
