Especially if mom decides to drag me to a party that's far away

Fortunately it was far away, too far away for me to go and get to work on time, so I didn't go

Why she want you to go to parties you aren't into?

To be social with strangers
Aka sit somewhere relatively away from everyone and hide and hope mom doesn't notice

Why would she want that? You obviously aren't comfortable with that.
Man, I'm not comfortable with that unless I've had a few drinks. lol.

I don't know most of my family very well and I don't care to.

I'm also pretty well in between generations in the family too: too young for x too old for y
Older is, at best, late 20s, and younger drops to mid-teens

I know three that are close in age to me in comparison
I'm not particularly close to any of them

I think that the family member I am closest to is my niece and that is because I practically raised her.
But now she lives very far away so we don't talk that much.
