Although I've actually encountered even skirts with fake pockets in stores recently. Which I DO NOT GET. How dense do you have to be to think "You now what, pockets would look really good on this. Let's add some, but don't add the actual pocket bag and just sew them shut instead!"???
I always get super angry at that :D
I mean, it would probably actually be easy to open them and turn them into functional pockets, but I still refuse to give any money to a person who is that maliciously averse to giving me pockets. So if I detect fake pockets, that's an immediate hard and firm no from me, no matter how nice the item might look.

tl;dr: Chrizine is a pocket freak and hates fake pockets more than probably anything else in fashion

It's hard to think of a clothing item that couldn't be improved by adding more pockets! I found the cutest little socks for kids one day that had tiny pockets in them, enough for an acorn or two, maybe a rubber bouncy ball, that's about it. Still, they were really darling!

Fake pockets are purely designed to make women buy purses/handbags etc.
I've had to enlarge several of my pants' pockets, some I couldn't even fit a handkerchief in without it peeking over the top!

But I carry a purse when I leave the house anyway! I just want to put my phone out of my hands in the home without having to look all over the flat for it when I need it!

I'm ok with my phone not being in my pocket, but literally not being able to have a handkerchief on your person in winter sniffle time is horrid!

Oh yes, that is horrible, too. But a handkerchief I can in the worst case stick into the top of my tights or something, my phone is just lying around somewhere where I don't find it then ;) But yes, those are the two things that I usually carry in the skirt pockets as well.

Yeah, my pockets tend to accumulate them, too :D At least in winter. My nose always starts running as soon as it gets a bit cold, aka as soon as I leave the house in winter.

I have a stock of handkerchiefs and tissues everywhere. I can sometimes find them in old jeans' pockets and drawers etc or bags I haven't used in forever. Everything that can hold a handkerchief will be utilized because I will never ever suffer through the pain of getting the sniffles and not having anything to use! it is like one of my worst fears/discomforts I despise o':
