I dunno, thats just what I think of when a bunch of kids are sleeping in the same room and they are scared.

I remember the last time I went camping as a kid and a storm came. All the girls were in one big tent while the adults were in two little ones. We tired to stay away from the tent walls by sleeping in a circle, putting our pillow on the butt of the person next to us.

The police showed up and told us we had to evacuate. I was in Girl Scouts at the time, and most of the girls were in a panic. We had about eight of us on one little welcome mat trying to get our shoes on.*rolls eyes* I helped so many people toss their stuff in the van, that I didn't realize my stuff was in there too and I was going home in the car (which were going to two different places). One of the poles holding the canopy up on the tent flew out of the ground and hit me in the shin too. We had to leave the tents there. I also didn't like getting bumped and getting pick-nick table to the gut.

When we drove off, the storm was raging so bad that there was some decent sized hail (about the size of a marble or larger). We had to stop off at a gas station where our car could shelter against the building until the hail stopped. I was still in my nightie and hadn't even bothered to put my shoes on until then. I was level-headed up until the drive, then I started crying like the little kid that I was.

When we got back, two of the tents were so damaged that they were not salvageable while one was untouched. I remember there being a strip mall's big tall light up sign had completely blown over, while across the street, a wooden church sign was intact. (I kinda wanted to razz the church owners when they replaced the sign, since it seemed a miracle that the old one survived!)

Wow, I would have been so traumatized.

That sounds like an awful time to go camping.
Did you ever get your stuff back?

And did you still go camping after it passed lol or just to get your stuff?

Sometimes we just all need a break.
Maybe your depression is caused by change or not getting out enough?
