@Xae: I watch a lot of kiddy movies as well as adult ones. My last one was the Owls of Gahool (can never remember the full name of that) and I kept pointing out things that didn't make sense to me. Then my aunt told me that this movie wasn't made for 26-year-olds. XP

Well he doesn't have a daughter until the future, sort of. XD

By default age he's 17 and his fiancee' is 20. How they're usually depicted.
By the time they're about 30 then their daughter is her default age, 11.
(Default age is by their designs' appearance.)
I've had Rebecca for at least a year now, and always planned Ed and Kat would get married too.
So I guess you just didn't notice, I don't mind though.

Aha, nice. I don't remember ever planning for the future with my OCs --not in terms of kids anyways. I find that the moment I plan for something to happen, then it actually does happen.

Toby had plans on adopting some kids in an RP, and then it happened. XD; However that sort of thing is really cutting close to being believable outside of the RP storyline, so when I took the kids with me, I turned them all into the neighborhood kids he was close with. However, in order to follow the timeline, he had to be older, so voila! Now he is. XD;

Same thing happened with Seth too, and I think it's because I keep doing those script-based MSN RPs with my OCs. I chat with friends about our OCs, and then we start writing crack RPs, except a lot of the ideas that are thrown in them are interesting, plausible, so I end up going with it and it happens. :X


It might be the case; even though I like hearing about OCs, I have pretty terrible memory. I have a RL friend that tells me about hers, except, I always get them confused with each other and never remember their names. I have a problem remembering most of Ocean's OCs too, though I'm amazed that she does so well in remembering mine. I think the best way for me to remember an OC is to have RPed with them --I remember most of the the OCs I've had a substantial RP with. >>b I think seeing their names repeatedly while learning about them helps.

That makes sense and is actually pretty cool. Why learn about a person by reading about them, when you could be pretty much imagining living with them? If I wasn't so shy and embarrassed over RPing, I would have by now.^^; I only did it once a long time ago. (and had no idea how it's done, so I just did my best; and the others were writing really short and interacting with eachother while I wrote longer but no one interacted with me.. and I think they were kinda young/bad at it. and I thought I was writing too much. XD)

If you ever want to try RPing with me, I might give it a shot sometime.. I've really been meaning to get over my shy issues with "pretending" or getting into character. Which is not too hard when I'm writing a story, but when I'm interacting it's not in the norm for my IRL friends so it's hard to get used to. But as long as I'm in a good mood I can usually try something.

Just let me know if you ever feel like it. Though my world is sort of undeveloped in places.. (I get out about as much as my OC does, so I don't know much about the world^^; ) so I'd prefer it take place/event in something else than what I'd come up with.. or in the least, not within the towns/places I've developed for my story, just yet. Though that might just be confidence issues. XD

Aha, when it comes to RPing, you really have to look for a crowd/RPer that suits you and your style. I'd like to think that it's a matter of taste and compatibility. I don't think I could write with anyone who writes less than five paragraphs on average at this point, though I have been in RPs where we barely made three sentences each. XD; Nothing wrong with it, either way, as long as you enjoy it. In the end it depends on where you are and what you want.

Aha, I'm so behind on my RPs that I can't right now, really. I have this RPer who I adore, but I keep taking forever in getting started in our RP. I guess RL is part of the issue, but I'm also a bit of a chicken about it; her talent is intimidating. *headfloor* I keep writing and rewriting my intros, but I feel like they're never good enough --not for her standards, I mean (she's pretty chill about it), but mine's. I tend to expect a lot of myself, but what I'm producing isn't quite there. XP Just gotta keep trying.

Thanks for asking though. If you're really looking, try making an ad on Gaia (unless you'd rather just RP with friends). I sometimes make a thread for RPs on Gaia when I'm looking for a partner, but you really have to lay down the rules or just about anyone will come looking for an RP. I've found a lot of good partners there though, despite all the "ehhh" bits about it.

Watch a lot of movies! Read books! Those things really help. :3 I'm a homebody myself, but I have a heart for adventure, so when I do go out, I try to take as much in as possible.

Aha, many writers, or even people, have confidence issues. /I/ have confidence issues, but I hate that --when I catch myself reverting back into an introvert, I MAKE myself go the other direction. It doesn't always work, but at least I feel better for trying.

I see. Well I'm really not comfortable with most people, so I only kind of "step into" ideas like RPing when either they're offered or it seems easy to talk to someone. I've never gone looking for people to talk to..^^;
I just usually have some business, question or reason to start talking. Like I did here, even.
You'll rarely see me chatting people up, unless it has to do with art or something practical.
Unless it's a good friend, or IRL I can chat for no good reason. XD

I honestly am not the type to judge people, though I said those people were bad it wasn't until years later I realized while comparing their writing to others'.^^;

I will, I've received similar advice from my friend about reading. I'm not a big reader though and a bit lazy. =u=; That's a good thing though, to force yourself not to be introverted. I suppose being introverted is a weakness, but it seems it's just how I've become. I like my self image.. but it's not the easiest to live with. xwx
