Yeah I think I just turned "having fun" into work, now that I'm an adult.
Just a mindset thing that develops over time, I guess.

@Koh: I do that too. My aunt tells me I over-analyze movies when I should just watch them --with my writing, the criticism is much more intense. I just have to keep reminding myself of why I'm doing this, but I suspect that my eye for detail is half the fun of it. Gets me nowhere in writing, generally, though.
