Have I mentioned how wonderful it is that I can just randomly speculate about weird stuff here and none of you shun me for being too crazy? I really love it.

I've been on tumblr for years and me and my bff hold the craziest convos all day every day since we met over ten years ago

It's just really nice to have a place where the notion that not everyone's brains work the same way is accepted in this matter-of-fact, taken-for-granted way.

That's how it should be, its almost sad how common sense can sometimes be seen as 'refreshing', to use a neutral term.

Yep, I feel like that's how it should really be everywhere... But then again, it's also nice to have a special place where you know that you can just goof around without anyone thinking less of you for it :)

Okay, setting aside the mutual appreciation for a moment, do either of you know of a good tutorial for how to braid ribbons into hair without it looking too weird?

Yeah I can definitely see how knowing that is true for a place is a good feeling, aside from places where you're more like hoping that the other people are like that cause they should be c':

Have you tried looking on youtube? What is 'too weird' in your opinion? ;o

mostly what ends up happening when I try it without guidelines for my poor long-suffering nieces.

I guess I would just like to see it done well once or twice to have some idea of how to pull it off. (Like they want it to show from the front, but they want their hair pulled back, and they have thin little-girl hair so there's nothing to attach the ribbon to until further back where there's enough hair gathered to hold it into place? So then nothing shows at the front unless I try and loop it over their forehead like a ribbon crown or headband or something and then try and braid it in the back and sides, which twists the front band, which....
