Oh god cons. It's probably good that I don't plan on going to one this summer...it's like, "ALL OF MY MONEY, TO YOU!" Of course, I come home with a lot of stuff I really like (I'm a sucker for figures and San-x stuff...also cannot resist any bargain manga at all.), but for a month or so afterwards I am like "whyyyy did I buy that $50 figure T___T".
Bookstores do this to a lesser degree. The Sanrio store and the Japanese mall down in Chicago are also dangerous places. I have very little budgeting control when I get in a place where there's lots of stuff I like.

XD I'm already regretting my tie purchase a little, but it reminds me so much of my OC that I can live with it. I do come home feeling too broke, though, even if I'm spending less than I originally anticipated.
What sort of figures do you collect?
I don't have many myself; my brother got me a Vega (Streetfighter) action figure, a friend got me a Sesshoumaru (Inu Yasha) action figure, and I have two Lamento figurines that I've bought myself. :X
A lot of what I spend money on ends up being posters. I don't put many up, but I love them. X3
Aha, I feel the same about bookstores. :X It's gotten even worse since I can order online.

.. . Renah has been dressing herself up for 23 years. When Jasem appeared she felt kind of responsible for a girl who knew nothing about local fashion. XD It was a real challenge for Renah!
.. . Alger Kinman is Renah's greatest love and her fiance. They've been together for a couple of years but keep arguing about getting married. Her position is "I want to be your wife", his is "I can't afford marriage at present". They've just been having another scandal when Jasem appeared in their life.
When Alger brought a she-wolf home (if I'm not mistaken it was a stupid gift from his friends) Renah came (unexpectedly) and was like: "You're not going to marry me, I sever!" and stuff like that. When she was already going to leave, the wolf trasformed into a nacked woman. Renah watched her for a while and said: "You know, honey, I'd rather stay at yours tonight"
.. . That's how Jazz saved their relations. For a while. When they learned that Jasem came from over the sea and has been a wolf for 2 years (yes, I reduced it from 83 to 2 years lol) they took responsibility to help her. Of course Renah let her live in her appartment (not at Alger's house!), took care of her wardrobe and gave a job (Jasem was supposed to live on her own and pay for the living so obviously she needed a job, which she could not get without any documents). In a few days Renah moved to Alger. ;)

Uhhh, I collect all sorts of figures: usually if it's from a show I like, I get it. I've got a lot of gundam figures, a lot of ones from CLAMP drawn shows too. I'm sort of getting into gundam model making now too...a dark road to go down indeed...one full of hours sanding tiny pieces of plastic and investing waaaay too much money on imaginary space robots...
But I like it. T__T
I pre-ordered this pretty detailed Ika Musume figure coming out in October...hopefully I don't forget about putting money aside for her, unlike what happened this Spring with the Ciel and Sebastian giant nendroid plushes...eheheh...

@Alice: Ah, Renah seems to have a motherly role. XD
@Meme: Nice. I'm not very good at putting together pieces of models and things (I've only ever done that with Tamama from Keroro Gunsou) --it generally doesn't end up having the effect I like.
I would want to buy a figurine tomorrow too, but I don't have any favorite-favorites that are affordable. XD; There aren't as many models being sold this year.
Of course you have to get Sebastian and Ciel together. XD <3
@Lunar: Aha, nice. There will be other events, don't worry. :)
Ahhh! I got Fred Gallagher's autograph today! X3 He signed all three of my Megatokyo manga and doodled in them for me! I got Largo, Moh (boy!Miho), and Miho. <3

I thought about getting only Ciel, but I thought about how lonely he'd look on my desk all by himself...
I don't want to go see fireworks tonight. They always make me so depressed. But it'd be rude to not go...
