Most of my problem is that I don't really get what I should be doing. There is too much to do.
I'm following the main quests, but when you finish one there appear several more ones. You're never done!
There are also daily quests, which may reset every day?
And the whole thing about NPCs liking you or not...
Plus mini games, which is not the kind of thing I like.
Hatching pets, and alchemy, and avatar with superpowers...

It's a lot to digest.

Take it one step at a time! Doing the main quests will help you unlock the other parts of the map.
NPCs also have affection values and making them happy will give you more potatoes and food for your pets. Those reset every day and each npc has 7 daily quests to complete. Increasing their affection values will also help unlock their shops faster.
Mini games will also give you more potatoes as well as food items. And doing Theatre every day will give you 3k of free potatoes! You can leave Theatre running in the background as you play like I do lol.

Hatching items can be acquired in the npc shops or you can go to the trades market if you want them. Hatching pets and combining them in alchemy will get you different pets. Item alchemy is the same, you would either get food, clothes or recipes. The recipes are usually recipes for items on the site like avatar items, hatching items, pets and so on.

I played a day or two, but I pretty much abandoned it already
I may return to it later.
But probably not now, that hopefully this forum is more active again

Well okay then it’s up to you lol. I go on to do my dailies and play some games and grind for more potatoes cuz there’s a lot of accessories I want to get lol.

The avatars are cute, that's true.
And the game mechanics is interesting, but a bit overwhelming.

But right now one caravan event thingy is more than enough for me.

Yup lol! I still like dv because I love the pets and accessories made for them even if it’s harder to grind for potatoes.

I love and hate the caravan lol.
