I was just considering food, too. Although more for, "what can I make now, while I have energy, that can be frozen for later when I'll need to feed people and am dead tired" than for "hungry now" purposes.

oooh, what kind of veggie did you make them out of? That sounds so good! Or were they from corn tortillas?
Hm. That gives me an idea, thanks. Back in a bit, I'm going to make muffins from the leftover root veggies.

Potatoes are pretty filling, yeah. Sounds delicious. I now have muffins in the fridge, except I didn't feel like cleaning muffin tins later so they're biscuits, but close enough.

we usually don't bake in ovens in our traditional cooking, but i've found i really like baking because i don't have to handle heat/fire directly. i've been wanting to try to bake something with potatoes, like hash browns, or potato wedges, or maybe a potato bake if i can find one without milk or cheese.

^ That was meant to be "oven", not "fridge". Sigh.
They turned out... okay? They really needed a spread of tomato paste though. But I can store them plain and add paste when they're served, so for the original purpose they're fine. I finally finished waiting for them to cool enough to stack into freezer containers, and now they'll be ready to pull out as needed. Time for bed!
