I can't say, I think it really depends on the person? I personally wouldn't mind but there's also people that don't read the front page or post of a thread and just jump in with a 'hello mind if I join in?' themselves ;o

Well, those people would never notice, so whatever is on the front page won't hurt their joining :D
But I find it hard to imagine that, I always read the whole front page :D (But then again, I sometimes post something like "I hope it's alright to join in" anyway, just to make absolutely sure, even though the front page said so...)

This discussion just inspired me to change around some things on the front page of my hangout to make it appear more welcoming. Probably nobody ever notices, but I feel better anyway :D

I do the same, but I've had people jumpn in my threads and others I sometimes post in with not a clue what the actual topic is about haha

sometimes the site is so slow that I imagine the sheer fact that there's chatter in a thread can have people lured in with the thought 'some people to talk to!' ;o

Yeah, maybe some people are more eager to jump right in when they see a thread is currently alive :D

Designing the front page is half 90% of the fun of making your own threads, isn't it? I love that stuff. It's the only reason I have a dream avi thread, really, because it was fun to come up with the theme and the order of stuff and design the headers... :D

I always lt other people design banners and such haha

but I love messing with fonts and emojis etc to make a thread all pretty and usually pink c':

I use some font design site for my headers, that is pretty easy and I get to play around with it :) Doesn't give quite as fancy banners as what you get, but it's fun :)

I've just found the motivation to refresh my art request thread and I'm trying so hard to keep it looking professional but in the end it's still going to be a wall of text :'D

all I do is dress up my dragons when the muse strikes, and try to get some more pretty dragons haha

I don't really know what I'm doing on there :D I used to have some projects for pairs I wanted to make and I still have some dragons with plans how to gene them, but I'm not really working on it... Mostly just doing the daily stuff and trying to get all the things during festivals and helping out by training up some dragons for dom pushes.
