Yep! :) They're yummy. They kind of have the same flavor profile as a chicken does but more seafood like flavor. Ours is a farmed alligator intended for eating, so it's probably not as swampy as it would have been if we caught one ourselves (which is a thing where I live!)

Oh wow raising alligators for consumption. That’s a new one. Like I’ve never personally heard of it. Altho granted I live in an area (the entire province actually) that has neither alligators or crocodiles. Lol

The alligators out here are so big they can total your car if you hit them. I don't feel like it's right to take them from the wild, I feel that way about fish too, because they're really really easy to farm. We were going to try turtle but it is very expensive.

Yup. I’m Asian so water chestnuts are something we use to make desserts and other things.

My mom puts them in spinach dip. c: I like them in Chinese food. The crunch is so satisfying ^_^

I’ve never had them in dip before. Mainly just in Asian dishes.
