Do you live at the coast? I love the coast but that's far away. I'm always happy when we have a high tide and some gulls get lost here :D
But of course .. the air at the coast is so different. And the wind. Ahhh I wanna go north now xD

I'm not too familiar with wet feathers, don't they get their own shape back once they dry and you stroke them back in position a bit?
I haven't been to a zoo in years, but the last time I was in a zoo I was there for a record to paint children's faces. I sat in a tropical forest section so there were a lot of birds. I didn't see a single feather. I guess all the kids always beat me to it.
In my town there's a famous bird park. There were loose peacocks. But again, the kids always beat me to it, and the only peacock feather I ever found was a not so pretty one without the eye >>
But yeah, I plan to go back there soon, but first I wanna find out what the molting times are. They also have a predator bird show so I can look for some falcon- and parrot feathers there. Also there's this hall called 'Lory Landing' and you can hold a cup of nectar and in no time you're covered in lorries. I don't know if I'll find many feathers but at least I can hold some birds again. It's my favorite place in that park. <3
And actually, I don't really mind what feather it is, as long as it's pretty! I even kept the mallard- and ringneck pigeon ones, I don't know what to do with them yet, but eventually I'll use them. Maybe in a headpiece?
So if you can get your hands on some budgie ones, yes please! I'm still waiting for my own canary to molt :p
If you have gathered some useful feathers please send me a PM so I can send you my address and figure out how to pay the shipping and stuff <3
Oooh Sachsen, that's a pretty place, isn't it? Mayli lived there too if I remember well :D
I've always kept rodents and rats were my favorite ones. :D
I still have one left, Nacho.
Yeah, the sparrows there are lovely. I was so happy to see that there's still a dense population in Germany. :D
But yeah, all the big places like Amsterdam and Rotterdam are filled with pigeons. It's not the nicest site though. They're all mutilated and stuff. Their claws and feathers look horrible...
I never saw a kingfisher around here o.O
Do they? I made only Air Knuffel. Even Grog had a baby bird. :p
I don't eat it much either, but yeah... I just happen to know the difference I guess, both are always in our supply closet at home haha ^_^
I'm from Holland. ;D
I have worked at the coast for the past nine months. Resulting in me never ever ever wanting to see that part of the coast again. xD
I'm not too fond of beaches and such. And especially the wind. I hate the wind. There were times when I walked from my work to the bus (a one minute walk really) and my face was burning from the sand that blowed past. And it took me ages to see clear again from everything in my eyes. >>
And the windows! The windows had to be cleaned like two times a week... and the window cleaner only came once a month... To say it very Haguely, I was the pisang more than once... >>
* throws tantrums *
The magpie I offered on was already gone. The moron! Take that bloody advert off of the internet then!
And why do I always have to beg for bad news myself? Why can't people just respond to your first e-mail? >>

Well maybe they do. I can go back and look if they are in a better condition now.
Parrots at a predator show? ... Don't tell me the falcons eat the parrots D: Nobody should eat parrots.
Not Sachsen, but Sachsen-Anhalt. These are different states. Sachsen-Anhalt is next in the northwest of Sachsen '_'
My hometown isn't exactly the prettiest town in the world from architectural point of view but we have a lot of nature around here <3 (and castles, for the cultural interested people xD)
As you mention it the pigeons in Venice looked like that, too. Always wondered if they fight each other.
I think kingfishers are very shy. And small. And of course only live at lakes and ponds. And I don't know where you live but if its in a city it will be hard to find them there xD
Parrot Knuffel sounds like a good idea
And veeery stupid question: They keep saying "Don't call it Holland. Say Netherlands" But why? Even the Dutch themselves call it Holland all the time?
So you don't get your magpie? :<

Oh no, it's mostly meant for children! No live animals get eaten! xD
They're not exactly parrots, they're... Ara's? Sorry, migraine, I can't properly remember. But they close the show with a round, showing their prettyness. Maybe these kinds of parrots are predators?
That's what I meant. Nature and culture. Two things my habitat lacks. :')
Well here they do, and they get struck by disease, cars, whatever... I've always hated it...
Well, they say it because Holland is only a part of the Netherlands. The Netherlands used to be 10 different states, right? Now they're 12 different provinces. Holland used to be an independant state, but now it's split up in two provinces, North Holland and South Holland. So the rest of the country can't be called Holland. I live in South Holland though :)
And no, I'm not getting this particular maggie :(
But I won't give up!
I have to leave now though, I'm going to Belgium to visit what I hope is gonna be my new school. I'll be back tomorrow night. <3

Holland is oftenly used by people who don't know how our country is called in English.
But, those who know it will say its offical name and that is The Netherlands.
(sounds like some demonic place actually)

I myself prefer Batavia.
/conservasionist
Edit: heeeey, wait. I called it Holland. You calling me a bad English speaker? >>
Once again, for you it's the Netherlands, but I'm saying nothing wrong when I say I live in Holland.

Merry, I am talking in GENERAL.
And for you, its a correct term. Because you live in the province South-Holland.

Whoo, awesome! :D
I'm working on Poseidon now, Hades might have to wait a while haha :p
Now I am sad I already submitted Hudsonia, his wings are so Greek style. I should've kept them for Zeus >>

Ooooh, a spider one!? *excited*
Edit: Derp. Somehow I didn't see Merry's reply to that. Now I'm excited about Poseidon as well! SO MANY AWESOME KNUFFEL. *flails*
You could do the "same" wings in a different color and maybe a slightly different position, maybe.
