I would think that there are too many people in the US that would be upset if the penny ever went away. They would be suspicious of retailers rounding the prices up to get the change to come out right. So many people here get crazy upset over the tiniest amount.

Yeah, the states really get whacky when something happens that isn't the regularly scheduled content in the USA.

yeah they round it up lol. so its now like rounded up to the nearest divisible of 5 i guess. XD so like if its 1.21, it'll be 1.20. or something. XD

no more pennies. although i suppose i still have some old pennies somewhere. i dunno. xD

There is a lot of talk about how expensive it is to print pennies. It does cost us more to produce them than what their face value is.
