So I was playing this game called Court of Darkness on my phone. It was fun. Until I found out in one of the character's routes in the original Japanese the MC gets raped and then they romantisize it. I found out the English version is meant to be consensual, but still doesn't feel right for me to be playing it. So I removed it. I know I could just skip that route, but it still feels wrong. Problem is, it's still on my mind. I wish I knew about that sooner then I wouldn't have downloaded it in the first place. So I'm still feeling like an emotional wreck and I feel kinda betrayed. And it feels weird to think that. And the fact that most people who play the English version don't know about the romatasized rape in the Japanese version. And...well like I said I'm a wreck. Any ideas on how to move on faster? I wish I hadn't spent months on the stupid f***ing thing Ugh!!!! .

Japan is famous for romantacising rape. Their manga and movie series Rapeman comes to mind.. and all the tenti porn.. Some women have rape fantasies that they have their partners act out with them too.. I wish you could have avoided that game. Warnings should be present. >:x maybe try to think about it as the character acting out their rape fantasy instead of an actual rape?

I forgot there are people who fantasize that. I guess I could think of it like that. I hate that people romantacize it. I think there's no warning because it's only in the Japanese version. But the English one it's rewritten as consensual and not rape, might be the reason. It just bothers me that the Japanese version isn't. So surprisingly I don't feel so much hatred for the game now. Is that bad? Should I be worried about my morals?

I don't think there is anything wrong with your morals. Just because a game, or movie or whatever you consume happens to have something bad in it, doesn't mean you condone the real act. And as long as you don't condone the real act, and can remind yourself that what happens in the game/show is just made up for plot and not real, I think your fine. That is just my opinion though.
