Heya~!
Just got back from school.
And after reading the last 2 pages, the only thing I have to say is:
I'm so glad I don't have math anymore. I hated it, and my teacher even recommended me to drop it at the end of the 3rd year.
I don't have maths, biology, science, chemistry, economy...
I'm an alpha, and proud of it.

I haven't really dropped a subject before, here in our place it's a requirement to undergo every subject that's in the course.

In the Netherlands, you can drop classes.
Alphas are people who do a lot better at classes like the languages, history, arts...
Let's just say the non-scientific classes

No, it's just the Dutch school system.
We have 4 "profiles" and every profile has some classes which all profiles have, and some profile-specific classes. My profile is Culture and Society.
I think wikipedia explains it a bit better:

You can just pick classes you like (most of them), and only do things you're good at!

... well, that's an interesting system! Ours might be... strange.
at the end of 9th class, you can choose to get rid of either english/latin/french... but if you do that and you'd only have one language you have to do two of biology/chemistry/physics to the end... at the end of 10th, you can choose a whole lot to get rid of: 1 of english/latin/french and/or 1 of biology/chemistry/physics, while remembering, you need to make the total hours at the end... and if you choose to rid yourself of language so you only have one left you need to do two sciences... works the other way round, if you want to only have one science at the end you need two languages.
Compulsory are: German, maths, music/arts, politics/history, sport, 1/2language/s, 1/2science/s and whatever else you do is free to choose... But you need to gather... 38-42 school hours I think it was, somewhere there, so that susually means you need to do informatics or geography or an extra language as well... I hate our school system.
