I think its pronounced just as the word Rude is. I think its rare for a name. I heard it in some video game some where or something. XD;
From this baby site it says it comes from the name Rudolph.

My favourite tree is the silver birch, but I'm making one myself so no need for you to make one. And I only know domestic trees so I can't make any cool exotic suggestion. Maybe Ruby has a good idea^^"
I'm not that bothered by the magpies, but it's really now everytime I see a magpie, and they are sometimes sitting in the trees before my house, I have to think of you all the time (<-does that sentence work in English?) Like I have to catch them and send them to you xD
Rude from Final Fantasy 7?^^

I can't imagine wanting to call my child Rude... then again, for one of my children, it might be fitting... >>
Hahahaha I am doing a fantastic job at clearing the magpies name, aren't I?
So many people are telling me! People around me have started to greet them again because I consistently do. I was flabbergasted when I was in the car with my boyfriend a while ago, and in the middle of his sentence he stopped to say "Hello, magpie!" and went on talking, just like I always do. The thing that struck me most was that he spotted him before I did. :')
And indeed, a lot of people say "I saw a magpie today and it made me think of you! They really are pretty, I never noticed before..."
Then I feel like a boss. :D
And I wouldn't be bothered with receiving magpies, but other people would I guess haha.
I do have a hard time finding their feathers though (to create earrings and stuff) so if you ever find those or other interesting feathers of local birds (my mom just found me a feather, it's a bit of a boring grey one without pattern or anything. It's the only type of feather we keep finding around here. I finally identified it as a mallard's. >>) I seriously would love it if any of you could send them to me. I'll pay for all the shipping and stuff. I'm just in dire need of fair feathers. <3
Oh, the tree! We were talking about the tree. xD
/straying
You know what the thing is? I would love to make a tree like that. It's just... I don't have a clue how! I mean, making a Knuffel into a tree is one thing that I'd have to think about, but how do I make it recognizable as a certain tree? For a Birch I could give her a dress with the pattern of the stem. But an Oak would be really hard, I'd have to split the Knuffel up to give it its low branches... And most trees are recognizable by their leaves, but if they have a shitload of leafs that's gonna be hard.
I just have to think this one thoroughly through. :p

I was watching something on TV and saw a magpie. It made me think of you and Vin.

Oh no, I won't start greeting magpies xD
Hmmm I haven't found a feather for years but then i'm not really looking for them. The only feathers I found as a child were pigeon feathers and my mom never allowed me to pick them up >.>
I know where a lot of crows have their nests, if you like crow feathers I could look there (although I have no idea when they are losing them). But I have no idea were the magpies usually hide :/
Don't you like mallards? They are so cute, they are my favorite birds. I often go to the river just to watch the mallards there.
And for the tree it was my main problem, too. Making a linden tree? How the hell would anybody recognize that, they have boring leaves and boring plain stem. Oaks have a very structured stem but that would be hard to draw I guess D:
I just thought a conifer would be nice, too. And maybe not that hard, you just could put needles everywhere xD

I don't know when they lose them either, it really bugs me x3
But I never find them whatever time of the year it is... :(
Yeah, crow feathers are very interesting too! :D
Any feathers, really. Since I have no luck finding them at all. :p
As about where magpies hide, mostly not around crows. Crows eat magpies. xD
Crows are usually more in rural places whereas magpies prefer suburban ^_^
Oh yes I like mallards! Well they're not my fave. They're a bit... boring to me haha. But they're fine enough! I wasn't complaining about that it was a mallard feather, I'm just sad that they're the only ones we find :p
But the feather itself... well it ain't that special too. It's a primary wing feather. From a mallard, they don't contain any color. :(
http://www.lab.fws.gov/featheratlas/fea ... imary_maleEdit: A look, I identified another one I found a few weeks ago. But I feel a bit worse about this one. I was on my way from the bus to my house and suddenly I hear a lot of magpie ruckus above my head. Next moment it's raining feathers so I grabbed one out of the air, counting myself rich, thinking I've finally got a maggie feather. xD
When I got home and gave it a closer look I saw that it wasn't a maggie feather at all, but I guessed it was from a pigeon or something. Now we've got a shitload of rock pigeons where I live. Now I just identified it as a Eurasian Collared Dove... which aren't that common around here. :')
Poor thing must've gotten too close to the nest.
Yeah I've been thinking about a fir too, but it'll be more fun if we can make an actual tree... we'll see! ;D
