owww, ant bites are the worst.
I used to get into red ants a lot when I was little. Rubbing Listerine on the bites keeps it from stinging

8U I did not know that.
I think they were red ants.
I don't think we have any other kind of ants <<
OH, we did have a ton of ants that had an intricate path they've used for years.
They would go across our gate, up the side of our house, across the side of the house towards the roof and so on.
They would go the exact same way in the same line every day.
I'd sit and watch them.
Ants seem to be really cool with what they can carry, but I noticed they bonk heads with each other.
I told my sister now I imagine all ants with British accents and wearing top hats, monocles and mustaches xD

Yeah, it may be the mint or something in the Listerine counteracts their... venom?
I love ants so much. I sporadically collect info about them.
We have a few kinds, but there's basically red, sugar, and black/carpenter. Carpenter ants suck because they eat your house.
I think they lay down a scent trail that the others follow while traveling. That's why they can get confused if you block the trail. I think the "head bonking" is an exchange of hormones, which is how they primarily communicate.
In the campgrounds I used to vacation at, there used to be huge colonies of red and black ants. I'd sit and watch the colonies wage war against each other. One group would like raid the other group's hills for food and slaves. It was intense, but fascinating. I was kind of a morbid child.
Ants have been observed to raise aphids and milk them for food, kind of like cows. They also steal ants from neighboring colonies and use them as slaves (to build and take care of colony pupi I think?)
=O I love that mental image. Very dapper ants. Proper gents.

They're really interesting. I think people take them for granted and don't know how cool they are.
And with other things too.
I really should draw some gentlemen ants. 8u
But I think someone could make cuter art of them than me xD
Speaking of cute and animals, it's unfair how some cute animals can kill you 8u
Like awww a baby bear 8D and DEAD. Because mama bear u8
And as for bears, they're not mindless.
I've seen videos of mama bears charging at people as a warning to go away.
This one bear didn't attack this guy that was close to them. She charged at him and warned him a few times to go away and the guy did go away.

I feel like 90% of Australia is made up of cute animals that literally just kill you.
I love bears.
Elephants are really intense too. They hold funerals for lost loved ones and are very sensitive ,,o3o,,

I always thought God got tired of spreading out animals and just dropped the rest off there xD
I've seen so many people talk about all the deadly animals there.
But sadly, some of them are very cute 8,u
My mom loves bears. A lot. She had a tiny beanbag bear that she named Cinders. We still think about that bear and talk about it xD
I learned about that from a cartoon. It was a sad episode too. Who says cartoons teach nothing >8u
