I don't mind a few tattoos. I mean, it's not my thing if someone wants to have a tattoo or few more. My friend has a tattoo on the back of her neck and it looks really nice. I guess that as long as it's hidden or mostly hidden and it's a modest one (I think I'd prefer small tattoos) it's fine. I like some more artistic ones, I love koi fish tattoos or any far east culture theme. But I guess it's just me. Mostly I'm not really fond of big tattoos. But a little paw print on your upper arm is nice

My boyfriend would kill me for doing it, but, oh well, I'm stll too scared of needles

When I was younger I would have liked to get one.
Thankfully I grew over that. :]

I think tattoos are awesome! In the words of ALBinwonderland, "I love tattooed women, maybe because they are uncontrollable, they are themselves to the point of drawing symbols of their power on their skin. Talk about owning your own body, being in your body, claiming yourself. I love it. When the world is in an uproar over whether women should have a choice or not when it comes to their own bodies, being tattooed is one of the most visible choices of all." That is just one of the reasons, though. I'm also a big lover of art and expression and I believe that tattoos are a brilliant way of showing people "this is me". I do not believe that a tattoo has to have a big, significant meaning or story behind it. If you just really love a design, enough to put it on your skin forever then I say go for it. You shouldn't have to explain yourself in my opinion! :) I'm hoping to get some tattoos next year when I'm off Warfarin. I'm really excited. One will be my own design of a cute little bird, with a key on a ribbon in it's beak, resting on a blossom branch. It isn't hugely significant of anything, I just think birds and nature are beautiful, and I love vintage keys. My other ideas are for a matching sunflower with my mom, as it's her favourite flower and perhaps integrating the cervical cancer ribbon in it to support her :) And lastly I really want a deathly hallows tattoo on the back of my neck, which is totally unoriginal but I don't even care! :P

I love tattoos. I've seen so many beautiful ones and I would love to get a small one myself. Sadly I'm still too young to get one without my parents and they have different opinions than I. Maybe when I'm out of the house though. I've always wanted a tiny pair of wings on my shoulder blades, not huge or elaborate just elegant. But I've heard that that is a really painful place and the one thing I don't take well is pain.

When I was a teenager I'd love having a tattoo but now I'm not sure that I'll have one one day.

I personnally hate the fashion thing. If you look up the statistics, an incredible amount of people is now tattooed.
And sorry to those who read me, don't be offended but I laugh about whoever has a tribal, portrait, name (in any language and please send me some if you got your name in 'chinese' so i can laugh more), dolphin, stars, butterfly, heart/wings/flames, fairy, or any cliche 'supposedly looking good' stuff.
Most of the tattooed people all have the same tattoos, and when i see em claiming that they do "what they want with their own body", I just feel like its a herd of bulls claiming that they are happy to be individuals and think by themselves while having their marks done. Though those bulls don't choose it. That's what's even more ridiculous about human flocks.
I'm not specially into "only look matters" tattoos instead for graphic ones since it can sometimes be nice though it doesnt have any sense at all usually.
But to answer the question, I have one and I'm happy about it. It has sense and it's not because it's on me that it can do something, but because it's about values i believe in.

I have a friend who has stupid childish things tattoo'd all over her body, wherever there is an empty space, she'll put a tattoo, ranging from my little ponies to cupcakes and sweets, it's not attractive...

I'm overall cool with tattoos. There will always be that one person who takes it too far and gets a giant penis on his forehead or something similarly stupid, but I'm overall cool with tattoos.
Sometimes I think it would be nice to have a tattoo. But my skin isn't in the greatest condition. Not the best canvas for a piece of art. :c.
