Food on him does not count right, He's like the gaia ones right where the food doesn't count for you.

but generally they have event knuffles
whether they are free or not is anyone's guess
but i know they have always have a event knuffle
i have the valentine one in my collection and the halloween one also

Aside from the free and Knufftropolis knuffels, you can get one in KofK's knuffel shop in Gaia..
You can buy there w/Gold or if you want a custom knuffel, you can pay w/real money..
