Isabella wrote:Have you seen Only Yesterday, Howl's Moving Castle, Whisper of the Heart? Those are some really good ones by Hayao Miyazaki as well. You would like them I think. I own all six of the mentioned in your poll boxes as well as the ones I mentioned. * smiles * Well.. I am glad to see there are other lovers of his work as well!

Only Yesterday and Whispers of the Heart are not by Miyazaki, btw. They're from studio Ghibli which is his studio, so that might be where the confusion lies.

Grave of the Fireflies makes me cry no matter how many times I watch it. Now I kinda want to watch spirited away. *digs out the dvd*

Well, I keep forgetting some of his works, but Grave of the Fireflies does make me wet-eyed, but I really haven't cried. The only movie that has made me cry was Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Me and my BFFFFL (Best Female Friend Forever For Life) were crying like crazy when Harry bought Cedric's body back and Amos Diggory was just like, "my son"! It was really sad. :qsob: Anyways, Grave of the Fireflies was definitely a great one.

Such a cute movie. <3 Howl's moving Castle is good too, but it lacks a little bit of plot....but Totoro is the best of all of them <3 Even better than Castle in the Sky and Kiki's Delivery Service. Whispers of the Heart and Grave of The Fireflies were good too.

I haven't seen Spirited Away (though I should try watch it at some point) but I have seen Howl's Moving Castle. It was good even though it wasn't much like the book.
