Why? People can't wash their hair in New Year?
Strange tradition...
I used to wash it every other day, but now I'm trying to wash it less.
Kinda working. I think.

I really need to dye my hair black...
I really want a pastel color but I don't want to see a hair stylist xD

Yeah not on the first day of the Chinese New Year. It’s essentially “washing away luck” so its unlucky to wash your hair on that day. XD but I’ll do it today lol.
My hair is already black…8U just with a few random whites lol.

You can bleach your hair at home.
And then dye it in any color you want.
But that kind of colors usually fade away after a few weeks and start looks some kind of weird greenish color.
@Hotarla:
Ah, washing away luck.
Makes as much sense as any other new year tradition I've ever heard.
XD

I don't trust anyone to bleach my hair that isn't a professional 8u
I bleached my hair once when I went blonde for a bit.
My hair gets mistaken as black, but it's not.
It's just dark brown with hints of red and blonde in it.
And grays >Bu

yeahhh washing away luck. and chinese people also put a piece of paper with the word "Fortune" on it. then, afterwards, they turn it upside down, which means that "fortune has come to this house" or something...8U
i've never bleached my hair, nor do i want to...8U if i ever dye it, i'll dye it black or dark brownish.

I have never bleached my own hair either.
I dyed my hair when I was younger, in dark vibrant color - bright purple, or bright caoba.
None of them required bleaching, you only need bleaching if you want to go for a lighter color.
But I've never been into those.
Now I just like my natural color.
It's dark brown, with some reddish highlights in summer, and plenty of gray hairs.

Yeah I’ve never really been into dying my hair a lighter colour. My sister has though. 8U i don’t understand why my sister had ever had thoughts of wanting to dye her hair grey (there was a time where that was really popular). I was like “why would you want to dye your hair GREY when you’re going to NATURALLY get gray hair?” 8U
My natural colour is like a black or darkish brown. There was a time where i worked at a plant that did cleaning products and we didn’t wear caps or hats or something. So the residual chemicals floated into the air and actually started bleaching my hair…8U after i left though, my hair started going back to its normal natural colour.

I don't do this often, but here's a picture of me when I had blonde hair 8u
I wanted light hair for a long time and after I got it - I was kind of sad and missed my old hair color xD
What's weird too is my hair used to be lighter, but I dyed it black once and it's just been dark eversince ._.
