Hallo.

Lernen ich Deutsch.

I think I said that right?
Well I'm in German1A this semester to hopefully try to get my German tongue back!

Ich lerne Deutsch, Mouse.
"Lernen" ist entweder Infinitif oder Plural. Und die Satzstellung ist wie im Englischen "I am learning German - Ich lerne Deutsch" So wie du es geschrieben hast ist es "Learning I German".

Weil du zu kompliziert denkst! Die Satzstruktur ist wirklich fast genau so wie im Englischen, du musst nichts umstellen.

(Just say it when you don't understand what I am writing in German)

I noticed that actually for most things... like

Danke, gut
Thanks, good

and then questions are just a simple revolving of the placement

Sprechen sie Deutsch?
Speak you German?

Ja, fragen sind etwas anders im Deustchen, aber ansonsten ist die Grund-Satzstellung meistens 1:1:

Ich gehe zu dem Bahnhof. (eigentlich eher "zum Bahnhof" aber "zum" ist letztenedlich nur ein zusammengezogenes "zu dem"
I go to the station.

Genau die selbe Satzstellung. Nur wenn du noch irgendwelche Adjektive oder ähnliches einfügst wird es etwas schwieriger:

Ich ging gestern zum Bahnhof.
Yesterday I went to the station.

Aber Subjekt, Verb und Objekt stehen immer noch an der selben Stelle.

`Oh, you can't help that,' said the Cat:
`we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad.'
`How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.
`You must be,' said the Cat, `or you wouldn't have come here.'

Okies *adds to brain dictionary!"

So, pretty much, an adjective can screw the situation around, but otherwise it's
Subject then verb?
