Just finished working my way through a romance series. Now I'm onto a book that my mother in law gave me. She kind of recommended it but also said very heavily "take your time because I DON'T WANT IT BACK" so I guess I am a little nervous XD

@jacobgrey: That sounds really ominous.

Finally kicked my butt into gear and got a few chapters left on the book I just stopped reading, which I wasn't that far from the end anyway. I stopped right before one of the "secrets" got revealed (it was hinted heavily at the past two books so I knew it was coming).

Well I finished the Internal Battalion by Django Wexler AND the Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins in less than a week. I put my goal to 12 books down from 15 but I might change is back if I get another one or two read by the end of this month.

I have the hope of reading at least 10 books this year. Right now I'm in the middle of 2. One was from a book club I joined, the book is "The Ruin Of Kings" by Jenn Lyons and the other was recommended to me by a friend called "Captive Prince" by C. S. Pacat.

@Rubie - how were the books by S. Collins? Can you recommend them?

@Sanssouci - did you like To Kill a Mockingbird? I haven't read it yet, but it is on my reading list.

@Alice - these books about Russian sound interesting, tell me about it when you're done!

I've been reading bits and pieces of different books here and there. So none of them finished, but progress with every one of them.

Yes, I love To Kill A Mockingbird. It's one of my favorites, although I actually like the movie even better.

@LittleJulez: The original trilogy is one of my favorite series if you have never read those. the Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, don't go into it expecting it to be exactly like the Hunger Games. It was really good until the middle of part three near the end of the book. I felt like it was kind of rushed at that point.
