Yeah it sounded pretty scary. And it looked pretty bad when I saw the pictures of it later.

The town I live in was allegedly founded by the Native Americans it gets its name from (Huaco/Hueco) because they noticed that really bad storms would just pass over the area.

We got a really bad tornado...
WACO, Texas — What started as an ordinary warm day on May 11, 1953 turned into a deadly one after an F5 tornado made a direct hit on Waco. In just a matter of minutes, the tornado that was believed to have wind speeds of more than 300 mph killed 114 people and injured about another 600.

There's a really tall building that swayed but didn't fall.
Building is still there and active today 8u

The ALICO is a 22-story office building.
The ALICO Building was not heavily damaged by the 1953 Waco tornado outbreak, unlike many buildings in downtown Waco. It swayed several feet when directly hit by the tornado, although the building escaped severe damage or collapse.

I don’t know much about my city lol. Apart from the fact that there was a section that might’ve been filled with strawberry fields…and that our old mayor is called Hurricane Hazel. XD

Did they demolish that building afterwards?
I sure would not walk anywhere near it...

Nope the ALICO is still in business to this day 8u
My grandpa used to have to go work on machines there.
I think he went to the 13th floor.

We have a book on what the city used to look like decades ago.
I didn't look that much into it but 8u

There's not a lot I know. I know about the tornado because my grandpa was a kid when it happened.
I know about the Native Americans founding it because my parents told me.
I also know that we had a famous cult because my grandpa took me to the spot where the people died.
I know about the triple lake murder because my mom told me.

Wow. Murder. XD;;

Gosh I’m all alone upstairs in the office again. XD apparently there’s a big to-do going on downstairs in the store, I went down there just now cuz I wasn’t sure what to say to the person on my phone call lol. I think there’s some kind of event? Anyways, there was a LOT of ppl (more than usual anyway) downstairs. XD;; and then, when I got down there, I was roped into doing a few things like bring stuff back up to the office. XD like, if I hadn’t gone down there…xD;;

Yeah, my mom said that these guys murdered three people.
One of them was a girl who wasn't even the girl they thought she was.
They mistook her for someone else and killed her and the two with her :\

You shouldn't have left your safe spot u8

wowww, def wrong place wrong time. or just.......wow.

but i had a very legitimate and important question to ask! 8U apparently the company was going to donate a number of chickens to a food bank but the food bank wanted to confirm pick up details and how many chickens we were donating.
