well i'm sure all cats have their own distinct personalities...xD can't have the same two cats lol.

Yeah, that's the nice thing of having several cats - each one is completely different <3


Talking about pets: our gerbil finally arrived!
Yesterday in the afternoon, little Ricky got home.
He's still getting used to his tank, but he seems very sociable

Ooooo a gerbil sounds cute! Post a pic when you have the time to! I don’t think I’ve ever known anyone who owned a gerbil. We used to have several hamsters though. Bred constantly with each other lol. XD;;

That's the reason we only got one!

I read they like being in company, but the pet shop woman told us they were adopted so young that it was hard to be sure of the gender.
So there was a risk of having a male-female couple and not notice it until it's too late

So we decided to adopt only one.

Yeah and hamsters are very territorial lol. I remember how the hamsters we got would sometimes have fights. Fur flying and everything. XD

Gerbils are territorial too.
But apparently they are more social, and if you bring siblings together they grow up and live happily together.
The problem is not knowing whether the siblings are the same sex :|

And if you want to introduce a new gerbil from another family, you must follow some procedure so they get used to each other's scent.

Yeahhhh I don’t think the hamsters we had cared much about incest and the like…8U it just seemed like as long as there was a male/female with them, they’d breed like…hamsters. XD;;

Well, actually it's an unisex name according to my son
In Galician, we say of someone very nice that he is riquiño (or she is riquiña). Tha's the name he chose: Riquiño/Riquiña.
The o/a points the gender, so he removed it... and now we have Riqui (pronounced like Ricky).
