You could ask, I guess, but it's likely you can't donate because of your medication.
Anyway, any blood test will do to get your blood type.
Next time your doctor requires one, ask them to include the blood type in it, I'm sure it will be no big deal.

Yeah I suppose any medications you take would require going over with the nurse taking your blood because it might alter your blood or something.

I guess regulations may change from country to country.
But there are limitiation for donating if you recently took antibiotics, had a tooth removed, got a tattoo...
All those have make you unable to donate for a certain time (days or weeks, depending on which) after which you can donate again.
