I want to research into my family history to see where we started and how far we've come and possibly why there's so many ailments with us.
I'm excited to learn about my dad's side who is both Mexican and Native American.
Like do I have Aztec or Mayan blood? I mean, my dad said as Mexicans it's like pretty much confirmed that we'd have Aztec or Mayan blood but I want confirmation.
I also want to know what Native American tribe I'm part of on his side.
My mom told me what her side was.
Growing up, I thought nearly everyone was mixed race because I am.
Native American, Mexican, German and Irish, I think.
As I've gotten older, I've learned that a lot of people aren't mixed.
I find genetics and heritage very interesting and I'm proud of my heritage.
I'm especially proud to be Mexican and Native American because they've gone through so much racial BS.
Even now with the world being as accepting as it is now - Mexicans and Native Americans are still facing problems with racism.
I heard about the KKK back in the day saying they didn't like INDIANS and they didn't belong.
