Well, it can cause digestive problems apparently.
I've eaten potatoes raw my whole life.
When my grandpa would prepare them to be cooked, I'd always snag a couple pieces and eat them.

I believe that before, uncooked potatoes were considered poisonous lol. because they do contain something toxic that would cause you to get sick. xD;;

@Hotarla:
Oh, so many people skip breakfast, I never really understood why.
It's the best meal of all
I thought I had eaten potatoes in all the possible form, but no, I never tried raw potatoes.
Anyway, yeah, potatoes have some toxins.
If the potato has greener parts that means the toxin concentration is higher. Those you should not eat.
Also buds an sprouts should be removed.
But I have no idea whether raw VS cooked makes any difference. I'll let the experiment to Moi xD

I don't like waking up for breakfast lol. XD and i never really feel hungry in the morning tbh.
well when you cook things, a lot of bad stuff is removed in the process. but also, a lot of GOOD things can be removed as well. I remember a story, unsure if its true or not, but a bunch of explorers and their native guide who were on an expedition were trapped on some icy lake or whatever. everyone died except the guide. the reason for that was because while they could ice fish, the explorers ate their fish cooked while the guide ate their fish raw. cooking got rid of vital nutrients needed to survive so while both sides had food, only the guide had received the proper nutrients from eating the fish raw.

Never heard the fish story, but that could perfectly be true.
My dad had a prostate cancer. He read somewhere that milk is no good for prostate so he stopped drinking it.
I decided to find some medical papers which supported this theory (it sounded like bullshit, to be honest) and I found that there is actual correlation between skimmed milk (also the low fat one) and prostate cancer, but there is no correlation between whole milk and prostate cancer.
So apparently the problem is not the milk, but the milk to which you remove something - because that something probably balances another thing, and wahtever it is might cause a problem.
Anyway for the question "what's the best way to eat this" I tend to think the answer is "the way it has always been eaten".
Way before people had heard of toxins or antinutrients they already cooked certain stuff while they eat another raw, they soaked or fermented others.
Their method might not be very scientifical but they did a lot of research and testing.
The guide did what his people had done for centuries, because that's what worked in that enviroment.

Thanks!
I wanted to make something in orange and coffee, with the new wig, but felt kinda dull so I added a hint of red.
I'll probably be creating a new one tomorrow though, I want to join the Collectors Corner contest!
But you usually don't get a shot? This would be your first year?
