I'm with ya on exam gambling. My first major test for my career advancement is less than two weeks away.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for both of you, and I believe in you! Maybe you don't have the time to ace the tests but I'm sure you'll pass. Good luck!

I had to run a document by my coworkers before sending it to the client at work. I sent it to them for review yesterday, asked them whether I could send it to the client, and after no response for an hour I asked them again. One of them said yes, so I sent it. Then the other one said no, they weren't done reviewing it yet, and they went and messaged the client to hold on. :mcargh: I'm frustrated and I know this is a minor mess and their fault, not mine, but gahhh my anxiety is set off by next to nothing these days.

Slow replies bug me too. If there's a deadline, geez, get yer replies out to the people who need them so they can do their job. What a mess. =_=

So today we tried to file a warrant on PFA violations and death threats. The magistrate looked directly at the judge's orders, shrugged, and said it was okay for my stalker to blatantly disregard the judge's orders and to keep stalking and threatening me and my husband, and said I needed to "learn to get along with them". Just... wtf? I'M the one at fault when THEY are the one breaking the law!? THIS is why I so strongly support martial arts, because when it comes right down to it, help is not coming. Nobody is coming to rescue you, not the police, and certainly not the judicial system. If you can't defend yourself in the heat of the moment, only the coroner will bother with what's left over.

It's infuriating how incompetent law enforcement is, like why protect the perpetrator instead of the victim?! It sucks that we have to depend on ourselves and take our safety into our own hands. I hope you're protected :mccry: this must be so scary and stressful for you.

So we had a meeting with a client today (I work for a marketing agency) and this client was such a flaming mess. They badmouthed the other agencies they're working with and praised us, telling us we're the only ones they can depend on, which is just a ploy to put all the work and responsibility on us even when it's outside the scope of what we were hired for. Also they're praising us to our faces but I'm sure they're bitching about us internally or to the other agencies :mcsweat: We showed them the ad briefs we'd made, and their internal branding dude was talking over us, demanding that we make briefs for their brand memberships. First of all, the brand hasn't even launched yet, nobody is invested enough in this brand to buy a membership on top of the products. Memberships are for superfans. I explained that the first set of ads have to build the brand, and we can't sell memberships because the audience for them has to be built first. But he was not listening. He doesn't bloody listen.

Oh, and he said we should call him instead of updating him on Whatsapp, running briefs and things by him there. Well first of all we take only scheduled calls, and if we ever call someone impromptu it's to remind them about a meeting that was scheduled and that has started without them. NEVER to discuss the work we've done so far, next steps, and stuff like that. Because if that happens on call there's no record of it. On Whatsapp it's possible to go back and refer to what was said. People remember things differently, but also I don't trust these people. Apart from complaining about other agencies, they were also talking over each other, despite working together. And they were bitching about one of their interns. They're obviously a messy workplace and so my agency will have to do our best to keep everything on record.

I love this idea. I do get over whelmed on forums though so forgive me lol

This week has been a bit rough. My bf's mom is in the hospital after breaking her lag/foot and is still waiting for surgery -that will happen at some point-

I'd love to hear how all your weeks are going. :qh:

Clients who kiss-up like that is a major red flag, shortly followed by the know-it-alls who railroad everything. I am also a huge supporter of TEXT meetings. Not only does it create a solid record of what was and was not shared for legality purposes, it's also great for those of us with a variety of attention or sensory problems, because we can always go back and read it. Hopefully they will either simmer down and become good clients, or pay you handsomely and move on.

All I've got is raw intimidation and hopefully enough training in the ring and on the mats to handle myself if he tries to get physical again. My boxing sucks, but I've got enough leg strength to impress an Olympic Taekwondoin, so I'm gambling on that if he gets tired of this court chess match we're playing.

OMG you are so cool :mcgasp: I want to be you when I grow up!

I was going for self-defence classes for a while, but now the timings changed and cut too close to my work timings :mcgloom:
