I went to free comic book day yesterday and got a bunch of stuff. Most of the comics are really thin, so I don't count them for my reading. I did get five thick ones though, so I'm going to count them. I read one of them so far, and it was awful!

Hah a ha, yeah I've seen two distinct schools of thought as far as Free Comic Day goes.
Some store-owners think: Time to off-load the ones that don't sell! And get rid of pretty bad comics.
Some store-owners think: Time to get new readers! And try and entice new customers by giving away really good comics.

So it's really up in the air, what happens!

Awww, thank you! I only get to play with neat things like the monthly treasure items because of Alice's awesome thread and whoever sponsors it. It's so much fun though!

Yup! I was hoping they were good comics, and they wanted to pull in new readers. But I think they were just unloading crap! I haven't started the other four thick ones yet, but yeesh, the one I read was REALLY bad! Even counting that comic, I'm STILL seven books behind!

Were all of your acquisitions from the same place, Sanssouci?

Yes, they were all from the same place. They were giving out 3 free comics per person. So my partner and I each got 3. Then they were giving out 2 free older comics per person from last year. So I grabbed two that I wasn't sure if we had gotten last year. He didn't take any of the old ones. Then they gave you the 5 free thick ones if you bought something, and my partner bought a game.

I also want to have everything, but I doubt that I can get it :_:
