Just to organize all these suggestions....
A monthly set with a mermaid theme:
kelp
seashells
trident
undersea background (with or w/o fish)
fish pet
pearls (necklace)
sea stars
shell accessories

Oh, and other idea for that monthly set!
It can have also a Mermaid Tail, like the Ice tail from the Ice Set, but in this case for this one!

It probably would look a bit odd. In this case it could come up the front, or the back.
Perhaps something sort of like example 1 or even example 2.

I really like the mermaid set idea. Maybe the tail could be half out of view? Or it could go up to the front like Shinji suggested.
I really love sweets. Could we have a spiral lollipop to hold? Sorry if that's already been suggested. ><
