I've been having fun making
gaming miniature prototypes based on Tam's and my
Dragon Tavern characters... Not too in love with some of the poses and equipment, but the range of faces is pretty good, and the body types are pretty customizable, with a good selection of genres to choose from.

What kind of game is it? It's making me think of Ultima with better graphics. o.O

Oooo. Do you have any Christmas theme gear? I saw a guy with a candy cane gun on one video! Do you have a dog?
Speaking of game pets, I just got a good one for each 'Wizard' character. And the golden goose was in answer to prayer. o.0

Den even made a pretty good miniature of my RP woman who doesn't look like a woman!
Graphics on 'Dragon Tavern'? It hasn't any. It's a text game. But Den and I have been story RPing with some of our characters for years.

I was really glad to find the HeroForge site... I'd gotten kinda sick of scantily clad, impractically busty female miniatures, and I knew that a lot of the pre-made minis wouldn't work for the characters I'd grown very fond of. Plus, I like a bit of practicality and realism in my miniatures. Boob armor is neither practical nor realistic.

Yes, even this thing gives the ladies a bit much in the lady department. But like you say, it was nice to actually see Deepdancer with my eyes instead of just my imagination.

Yeah... the lack of body diversity is why I don't like a lot of the dollmakers that're available out there...
Same with most gaming miniatures... Though I did find a fat nun wielding a pistol when I was out in California, and I thought she was absolutely hilarious, so I got her. Her label is "Sister Maria".

LOL Fat nun with a gun.
But yeah. Even that doll/avatar maker can't make some of my peeps because they're not built that way, it hasn't got their clothes, and/or there's no way in scrap they're that pretty.

Yup. She's hilarious and awesome, and I had to have her.
Yeah... the miniatures come close, but there's still room for improvement and customization. I even made some Doctor Who villains (two Weeping Angels! :D) and a couple of the Doctor's incarnations (Nine and Twelve, though Twelve would need a fair bit of work to be as close to perfect as I could get him... They didn't have a good option for his coat).

nope. Most of 'em would make her too "cute" if we tried.
