When I took my first semester of Japanese, everything was formal. That's because they wanted to teach us to be more polite first... but then in second semester, my second sensei told us to drop it, since we already had the idea. Neither way is wrong, though.
Hmm... now I'm wondering if I'm wrong about the "desu" LOL. XD

Noooo, nonono. I'm just here to review! I'm not at "sensei" status yet. "Sempai" (upper-classman), maybe.
XD I can get the pronounciation right, but instead of everything being "da-ie-du-de-do" it's all "da-ji-zu-de-do" so the sounds aren't similar. XD;
