Things are mostly ok here, sadly there isn't going to be much for christmas this year here though, so my avatar's probably about as festive as I"m going to get for the holiday.

my family had a psuedo-Christmas over Thanksgiving, because the sibling and his wife are going to her parents' for Christmas. I went to my boyfriend's and met his folks, and apparently made a good impression, because I've been told I'm welcome to visit again sometime...
But for actual Christmas, I think we're just gonna be chill... nothing fancy. which I'm fine with. I really don't do parties, or a whole lot of socialization, really. If I do go out and do stuff, it's with people whom understand that and accept it, and are happy just to be able to see me...

Ever since my grandma died we've just seen my mom's side of the family instead since no one in our family holds big get togethers like when my grandma was alive. And if they do we haven't been invited to them that I know of, just funerals and one or two weddings. But that's fine with me, my dad's side of the family is huge and I'm terrible with names. @.@

I never grew up with Christmas, so I don't really do much more than mail a few random gifts to random friends (like I do most months, but these get called Christmas gifts), and do the Christmas events on a few games. Some years I'll set out my pretty copy of 'A Christmas Carol' as an ornament, along with another pretty red book that I have here, and maybe read 'The Best Christmas Pagent Ever' and watch a couple Christmas movies I have. I think my most steady Christmas custom is providing support for online friends who are having a Christmas sad.
But right now I'm too busy coughing and feeling sorry for myself to want to do anything. Other than the awful present that I sent Den and the slightly less awful one that I sent to another friend.

i don't ever remember christmas being a big hoopla for my family, or at least i was never invited to be part of it. but this year i'm excited. it's the first time my mom has been able to come out twice in one year LOL! she's coming out for christmas through the first week of the new year. we haven't had a christmas together since....2008? i doubt we'll be doing anything "fun and exciting", but it will be nice to have some holiday time with my mom, as we don't know how many more we've got together, you know?

lol it was only awful because of how it was wrapped. You are very thorough with the tapings, missy.
