Well I know James, he played spike in buffy and...whats his name in torchwood.
ooh doug plays sasu in star trek discovery <3 awesome.
As for 'david barrowman' I think that's a mix up between david tennant and john barrowman......
I've met Robin Hobb, Traci Harding, who are authors. And I've met the guy who does the voice of K9 in doctor who annd Gareth David-Lloyd who plays Ianto Jones from torchwood. Also saw Chris judge from afar and burn gorman from afar.. they were at the signing desks... And I saw Bonnie wright up close cause she was at the same desk as K9 voice actor.

Okay, well, I know who Robin Hobb is! :P
I don't tend to think of authors as being a big part of conventions, but I guess they would be, some of the earliest conventions were all about authors, that's the whole point of the Hugo awards... huh.
Someone linked me to a video of Ursula Vernon doing a Hugo Award acceptance speech, and she talked about something called whalefall and it was actually pretty funny/interesting?
What's your favorite convention memory?

Ray Park played Darth Maul in Star Wars, Snake-Eyes in G.I Joe and Toad in x-men c:
He's a really nice guy, down to earth as they say. He's not shy/silent when you want to take a picture, he grabs you close and asks you if you're having fun at the convention and what you're going as etc. I like him as an actor and as a person, he does volunteer work and such.
I go to conventions for the meetings with people. I do a tour of the stands obv and if I know there'll be Transformers art I will spend half a day at the artist alley c':
But most of the time I hold meetups with people of the same fandom/cosplayers of the same genre or game and we hang out and take photos etc
My fav convention moment was the first time I cosplayed my Pyro. At the convention I went to there was just one other tf2 cosplayer; a young teen with his mom. (he went as scout) We saw each other, I approached for the ole 'hey same game, nice cosplay etc' spiel and I could just tell I made that kids day c':
I'm willing to bet it was his first convention, first cosplay etc and he was so happy he got acknowledged, talked with another cosplayer and got to talk about the game with someone etc.
Basically my happy memory is how happy he was, he must have been like 14 max and with his mom and I think he had a good first con experience and I helped with that. Good feels! Everytime we bumped into each other he got all excited again and let me know what he's seen and done and what he bought etc. We'd shout voicelines at each other from across the crowd and he was so visibly happy it was cute and wholesome haha

Wow, it sounds like you really made his convention! I bet he tells stories about his first convention and finding another TF2 cosplayer. :D

Its always fun (and part of the reason I cosplay in the first place) to see and meet up with others. Its a clear sign you have an interest in common with someone and its a nice connection with often complete strangers c':
I think it was fun both for him and his mom to have that welcoming experience to the con community. Like a bit of 'see mom everyone here is nice and cosplaying is a fun social thing' :P

peter conned me into two games of monopoly on the playstation 3 in the bedroom. I won though both times. Which is rare.

I thought Monopoly was a board game, with little tokens and everyone always fights about who gets to play which?
They made it into a videogame?
