Yeah the yards were fantastic. We had 3 gardens and a pool in ours and we still had plenty of room.

That sounds nice. My mom put an above ground pool in, but no gardens. I'm tempted to try my hand at growing vegetables again.

I miss growing veggies and flowers. I need a balcony or yard patch again.

I would need to find a way to keep my dogs out of it if I were to do one. I do randomly have wild onions growing in my landscaping though.

That's cool. My grandmother used to grow onions in her garden along with other things.

I want to try growing zucchini next year, at the very least, because those are one of my favorite vegetables.

Be careful when growing zucchini. One plant produces so many and they get huge. My mom her first year with them grew like 15 without knowing about that and we were giving them to every neighbor and member of the family to get rid of them.

Yeah, I plan on sharing with my family, but I went to a farmer's market a few weekends ago and bought a big one for only $1 (which was thrilling because the stores only got small ones for a lot more) and I ate that baby up in a day. The would get old after a while if you eat them a lot at one time.

That's a good price for a nice sized zucchini. I love farmers markets, especially during berry season.

You will probably end up giving them out to everyone you meet. That's the only way to get rid of them if you plant too many.

I love farmers markets. And craft markets. There's a big one that's stretches through a few towns on a river in October. Got some neat stuff last year.

Yeah! There is a house I drive by that sells veggies from their garden. They use the trust system where they just leave a can of money out for people to put money in and make change. My mom always stops there. I should one of these days.
