Well, Aya, I think it makes sense to teach people what everyone else is already using. Otherwise they'd be at a disadvantage.

Does he teach you Thai? In my gang, about half the people are Thai and the rest is mostly Chinese. Everyone in the gang knows at least a Thai phrase (mostly insults, lol) or two. XD

Who said he? o.O I have like no guy friends, srsly. No she hasnt taught me anything.... But pretty much all my friends are Japan-lovers, and she's not so into that. xD We know Japanese. <3 (Except her, that is.)
