Kingdom of Knuffel

I automatically get sleepy by 10 but once I'm in bed I can't sleep.
That's another of my sleep problem.

I've been having bad cases of insomnia even though I've been really tired when going to bed. I guess the heat isn't helping though I had the fan in the bedroom (pedestal fan) last night which helped but I don't think I got to sleep till after 2am.

Trying to sleep when it's this hot is a nightmare. I could never do it.
Worse, I can't fall asleep if I don't cover at least my feet with something, which makes me even hotter.
I have found that sometimes sleeping on the sofa helps.

Thankfully now here is winter, which means that sometimes I wake up because it's too cold because we don't have a proper heating system. I'm glad I don't sleep alone in the winter.

Peter's been sleeping on the lounge lately.


Either way I'm still going to try to get some sort of better sleep pattern.

why the lounge? I'm lucky I have AC

Cause well he had some drinks on saturday. So I'm thankful he slept there because all the snoring was done out there.

But otherwise normally it's cause he's watching something. That said I can see it being tonight he'll go to bed earlyish.


I wish we had AC. I just wish these flats had better insulation and stuff. Or these blind things to keep the air in but the heat away from the front windows.

My flat is strange. In the winter it's colder inside than it is inside and in the summer it's more or less the same temperature as outside despite closing the blinds, the doors and everything.
The strangest thing is that I live next to an highway and I hear absolutely nothing. Yet, it does nothing for the heat.

Our flats used to be originally, like waay long ago before I lived here, 2 flats. Now it's 4.

From what Peter said because they just made it into 4...with brick walls...it means the heat goes more to flats 2 and 3.

I'm in flat 2.

I'm melting

What I have found to be even worse for heat is being under the roof. That was awful as well.

Anyway, did anyone catch a bonus donut while posting?

Well the ceilings are low here.. I guess that doesn't help.
