Even in the cities here there's loads of groups that do handicrafts or sell them... We care for technology, but somehow we love hand crafted stuff too. There's lots of stores here that sell just hand made items. There's of course the ever present large chains as well, but like I said... Even if this is considered a large city, most people still have a village mentality and like to do things 'the old way'. Usually the hand made stuff is also much safer or stronger.
Btw, Chocolate is omnipresent out here. My hometown is super small and still has its own chocolatier... The country is known for our chocolates, beers and food... But most importantly:Chocolate is cheap here! I couldn't survive without chocolate. I nearly died when I went on my first trip abroad and found the chocolates to be sooooo expensive. I'm not used to that...

Thank god it was a group trip for school, all the girls put their money together to buy a large pack of chocolate. We're all addicted to the stuff out here... Or at least most of us... There are still people that are allergic to them.
Nice thing to know though is that I live a block away from a chocolatebar... So a bar that deals only in chocolate beverages and ice creams and brownies and stuff... *delighted sigh*
I'm off to bed early this time... Sooooo don't feel up for tomorrow's exam
anybody else think these smileys are so much fun?
