My bf has dyslexia if I remember correctly, it only affects him here and there so it's not too bad.

And I need to start reading up on various disorders too, as a to be teacher I should really know more than what I do ><

Mmhmm. That seems like it would be a good plan.
It would be very helpful to kids with issues. I wish that my teachers had read up on my disorders. Most didn't give a fuck.

A lot of teachers don't care, but there are still a lot who do.
Schools get funding down here if students have things like autism etc. So teachers have to be wary of students who appear to have something

Oh that's nice.

I was supposed to get a bunch of help when I was in school but my mom didn't give a shit. So I kind of just struggled through on my own.

A lot of parents don't want to test their kids to find out if they have ADHD etc... and that just makes it harder for teachers to teach the student.

In my placement, there was a child with Autism, and the father walked out when he found out. It breaks my heart every time I think of it

Well I was in therapy for the majority of my childhood so my mom knew about my issues. She just didn't care.

I'm sorry to hear that. Some people just really shouldn't be parents.

My mom is of the opinion that everyone is somewhere on the autistic scale/spectrum

It's true. So many people shouldn't be parents. So many.

Uhhh. That's a strange opinion. And false.
Not everyone is autistic. A lot of people have a few of the symptoms, but that doesn't mean that they have it.

What an interesting opinion, but I do not know enough about Autism to comment on it
