i think it also depends on WHERE you spend the sunnier months.
i was in Hong Kong for a few months and it was hot and humid. its never like that in Canada. april and may, temps were like high 20s-30s. near the end of May, humidex made temps rise several degrees. just going out for a few minutes turns your skin all sweaty and sticky. i hateeeeeed it.

canada, summers are hot but its a bit drier. none of this "my skin is sticking to everything it touches" kind of feeling. actually, its end of May and the temps are actually still kinda chilly. like 13-14 degrees, sometimes even lower. ive never had such cold weather in May before.

Totally. I once spent a week in the southwest desert. It got as high as 110°F, but the humidity was low. It felt great. I could do a summer in the desert. Early July is about my max here, where it feels good being in balmy weather while picking fruit.

I work nights in a factory
So take your temps in Fahrenheit, jump them about 20° walking inside, and then another 20° up by the machines
Add in the fact that you're working and sweating, with mid-late summer also being muggy from the humidity, and it sucks
Give me winter

I definitely prefer the cold, by far.

Factories and kitchens are a whole other ball game of miserably hot. I was only a waitress once, but, UGH. Loved that walk-in freezer to offset the misery of the kitchen. When I worked at the hospitals, there was one facility who kept my storage area outside, in the back of a large bay, under a broken steam pipe that gushed nonstop. In August. And then they moved me to the front by the doors in February.
