I don’t have any GOOD fountain pens, but I have used some cheapies and some disposable ones. I like them and the way they write, but the problem I have with them is that the ink has a tendency to bleed and feather on lower quality paper. They ghost on thinner paper, too, so I don’t really use them much anymore. I do seem to collect pens of all kinds, though.

That is good news, then! I hope it works! What kind of ink do you like best to use?

If you use a blotter do you still have trouble with the ink?

I you have pens that have a fine or extra fine nib, you should be able to write without much problems; unfortunately, there are papers out there that still have the same issues, even with extra fine nibs.

I like blackink, but I also use Monteverde Confidence Blue. I also bought another ink, which is orange. Will ue that for story writing.

I really want a Sailor Fude de Mannen fountain pen to use for drawing. I've got it on my Christmas list along with some De Atramentis document brown ink.

I've never used a blotter, so I'm not sure. I think I'd probably smear it though, knowing me. :qsweat:

I hope you get it for Christmas! As for the ink blotter, it should not be too hard to use. You just gotta cut it the right size before putting the thing on the blotter... but... I know where you're coming from.

Nemosine Solar Flare is on the way... though I think I should have bought a different colour for Diji, my Jinhao 159 pen.

Wow, those are really gorgeous! I don't use fountain pens myself but I wouldn't mind having one of those for the sheer prettiness.

Personally, I want one of the hand turned wooden pens that Stonekettle Station puts out. They're just too pricey for me right now though. :qcry:

I wouldn't blame you for wanting them for their prettiness. I wih I could get my hands on them.

Very gorgeous pens indeed! I used to try with calligraphy pens when I was younger, and these seem similar to me. Fountain pens are not easy to come by where I am at least. I live in Canada.

I believe there are places in Canada where you can get them, but like you, I have to travel far to get them in person if I don't want to order online. Did you enjoy doing calligraphy when you were younger?

Oh yes, I loved doing calligraphy when I was younger - not sure why I stopped. :mchappy:
