A lot of people think that way. I've had people ask if I minded if they joined. That's what hangouts are there for \8u/
I'll usually post anywhere unless it says private.

I feel a lot of anxiety too posting on hangout threads...despite being here for years and years I don't really know anyone all that well. I'm just bad at it.
I took a break recently, but I think I might be back for a while...I've just invested too much time and energy and money into the site to just let the account rot, really. But I got sucked into FR and there's so much to do there that I just sort of forgot about KofK.

Oh definitely, I did a suggestion for those once in the suggestion forum. I hope they implement that soon because it's really the biggest thing keeping me from using the forums. I don't want to subscribe to every topic I post on, and check it forever, just to see if someone quotes or talks to me. Too complicated.
Like I now have to do with this one...

hmm... seems like you're new to this style of forum?
honestly, i'm not even that old but notifications on forum quotes/replies still feels like a relatively new thing to me. i love them and think they're convenient as heck, but most older forums don't have notifications. kofk is one of them.
honestly, i've joined a looooot of similar sites and kofk is one of the better ones as far as avatar forums go. and by avatar forums, i mean forums.

Gaia's had pings for yeeeeears, as have like three pet sites off the top of my head.
I suggested it for KOfK in a thread back in 2013 when it had already been in place for some time elsewhere, so, yeah... it's not very new.

that's true, but i'm still thinking about like.. back in 2005 LOL. granted i took a long hiatus from gaia, but "relatively new" to me is within the last 10 years. i guess that sounds kind of ridiculous, but i'm personally still amazed at how far mobile technology's come within just the last 5 or so.

I'm a returning player from way back when.. The thing is, is that I still follow KofK on Facebook, so I see occassional updates about new items and it got me wondering how things were doing here lately. So I came back to poke in. Which is really silly of me because when I was last on, I had been trying to do a charity giveaway of all my stuff and leave the site for good. But nostalgia keeps me returning. XD I just can't help but like the progress that has been made here and hope that it continues to succeed.
I suppose my only issue to keeping myself on here is that I no longer have a need to chat or roleplay. My offline life is busy (or i have things i can do) that just keep me away from needing to talk to people. So I'm still on the fence about officially leaving and deactivating my account.

I can agree that it is hard to get into!
Its hard for me to stick to, but I stop by here and there
for events and just when I remember or have interest
spark randomly. Its easier if you make wild knuffels,
or already have a number of them to feed and earn
money from digging.. but generally, thats all too
boring for my adhd brain and I only talk in forums
during events that ask me to ;v; which is sad, but
I'm not a very social type.

I had a bit of trouble on this site initially as well, but I got some pretty sweet stuff from the charities (which I basically haunted back in the day) and eventually, I learned to invest in Knuffel. The return on investment is tremendous, really XD
Also, playing the memory game (although not always feasible for me because I used to come onto this site in secret, so I'd drop it if my parents were around) helped me get a decent amount of
each day.

I came back after a few years but I'd already gotten an established bunch of knuffles then, before the free knuffles came out. I don't recall how I made funds--probably clicking literally every poll I could find. Anyway, back then fairy coins were still existent in market and cost about...15-30k so it wasn't too hard to buy them with fp and trade for other stuff. Now I can't even find any >>;
Notifications in-game would be nice, but to be honest the site is probably both too low- and high-management to keep my attention for long. I'm not usually a forum user and now that auto-knuffle items are a thing that's even less motivation to visit daily.
