You can work in publishing, editing, journalism, content writing, writing, marketing, or you can keep studying further if you want to get into academia, get a lecturership and eventually professorship. Most of the alumni from my college are in the development sector though because my college is part of a foundation for philanthropy.

That's harder, to my mind. That's an ongoing, you have to live with it forever thing, instead of one single moment that's the exception instead of the rule.

i'm planning to apply this summer for internships in publishing so that eventually i can work for a short while, like a year or so, in publishing/editing after i graduate. then i'll apply for a masters degree i eventually want to teach college and write, or if i'm lucky, write full-time.
also i'm planning to minor in media, communication and development so i might also work entry level at something media or communication related, but i'm only interested in very specific ventures in that field so... we'll see lol.
i just really like how much liberal arts encourages you to think for yourself though. like every book or extract you read, or every thing you watch/hear, you're encouraged to think about where the person is coming from. nothing and no one, no expert is above criticism, because you have a brain just as much as any expert, so think for yourself because it's not illegal yet i just really like that attitude to things. especially for someone who tends to subvert everything and get hurt as a result, a place with such an outlook is like a haven
