I like it, alot of evil people getting just rewards. But I feel sorry for the people making deals with her.

I have to say i started on it... but then for some reason i didnt watch them in the right order and the story made no sense... so i stopped

I got all 3 seasons downloaded on my laptop from a decade ago.

I've watched almost half of first season, I was intrigued initially but after a while I dropped it. Not sure why, it's a very cool concept and it was a good product, maybe the fact that every episode followed the same scheme became boring.

I loved watching the first ten or so episodes but I had to drop it because I was watching it on the sly XP Will probably watch it again later.

It used to be one of my favorite anime back then. I heard another season is currently airing now but I haven't seen it yet... I'm not as ecstatic about Jigoku shoujo as I was before, but I'll probably give it a shot for old times sake when I get to have some free time on holidays

I watched the second and third season and while I liked the concept and consistency I found it too emotionally heavy to watch for very long.

Yeah, there is a 4th season. I'm also no longer ecstatic about Hell Girl, but I've given it a try anyway. And it was a huge disappointment. First of all, there are only 6 (6!) new episodes. There is some plot, mainly later in the show. But it seems rushed and without a clear conclusion. And all the characters seem really unnatural for me.

What makes things worse is the fact that normally the season nowadays consists of 12 episodes, if it's airing only for 3 months. So they added another 6 episodes, but they are just a recap of random episodes from 2nd or 3rd season. And because these seasons had some major plot and these recaps are few and random, the effect is... Strange. Well, everything is fine if you watched previous seasons.
Also, it seems they've chosen 'the best' episodes for this recap, what is, well, nice, but these new episodes from the 4th season look really bland in comparison.

I thought Hell Girl was a nice enough anime. I really liked Tsugumi and her Dad.
