Probably Neil Gaiman and Lois McMaster Bujold. While the writing styles of both are very different, both have a real ability to make books that are very difficult to put down until you finish them, and both write fascinating characters which you want to get to know more.

My favourite author is Neil Gaiman. He's twisted fantasies are sublime. Highly creative and not afraid to be a little dark. I loved Stardust, when I found out it was becoming a movie I was very excited. It was nothing like the book but I still enjoyed it. Gaiman writes awesome novels. I highly recommend anything he has done!

I also like Eoin Colfer, I grew up on Artemis Fowl, I love his style.

J.K.Rowling; huge Harry Potter fan here. XD I'd like her to right more books, however not about Harry Potter, I think if she tried something else it would still turn out good.

Give me some Christine Feehan and you'll have me happy... definatly better than twihards especially the first books

Now my favourite authors are probably Rick Riordan and Pierdomenico Baccalario.

For Riordan, I love his sense of humor and how he can play with character's personalities.

For Baccalario, he knows how to make mysteries more mysterious. He also is really skilled in cutting action in the most important moment, leaving it to be revealed later.

Right now it has to be Sherrilyn Kenyon and Lena Valenti ... i'm obssesed with their work
